The Six Flags Great Adventure is a theme park located in Jackson Township, New Jersey. It is one of the largest nature themed parks in the US as well as one of the oldest of its kind too.
The Six Flags Great Adventure was started on the first of July in the year 1974. It was previously named not the Six Flags Great Adventure but just ‘Great Adventure’. It was built by Warner LeRoy on property owned by the Switlik family and was named ‘Enchanted Forest’ when it was first opened.
The Six Flags Great Adventure expands over an enormous 2,200 acres of land that accommodates 45 various types of rides including 12 roller coasters and two water rides.
When you do go to the Six Flags Great Adventure, the Main street is going to be the first attraction you are going to see as it doubles to act as an entrance to the theme park. Site that you will not want to miss here are Liberty Square Gazebo and one that you will not miss is the Flash Pass Headquarters because here is where you get your Flash Pass Q-Bots.
You can walk into the magical land of the Fantasy Forest which is home to the Big wheel which was the tallest and largest in the world when it was made. It also has rides like ‘Houdini’ Great Escape’ and ‘Turbo Bungy’.
The ‘Wiggles World’ of the Six Flags Great Adventure is an addition for the kids and is themed especially for them. Most of the ride’s themes were changed in 2007 from the Looney Tunes Seaport theme. The Looney Tunes Seaport still does exist in Six Flags Great Adventure. There are many more rides here that you should check out for yourselves.
The Six Flags Great Adventure is also the home to the largest wild safari in the United States. It is home to over 1,100 exotic wild animals. It is the largest drive-thru safari outside Africa.
Your day at the park will always be made a happy experience to remember as anything you may need, will be provided by the park’s most friendly staff.
Six Flags Great Adventure is also home to Stuntman's Freefall, one of the original freefall rides. The Parachute Training Center, Edwards AFB Jump Tower (Parachute Drop) is another ride not seen in many parks, at least not many as big as this one.
Sticking with big for the moment, the park has a 150 foot Ferris Wheel called the Big Wheel which towers well above the treetops.
Another fun ride which is disappearing from other parks is the Rotor, known here as the Taz Twister. Add in all the water rides and ones that spin, twist and turn and there is something for everyone
The park accepts all the popular cards like Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover. So don’t just read about it but go and experience the Six Flags Great Adventure experience for yourself, off I-195 in Jackson, New Jersey.
